Account Manager Taylor Dicken loves people. She majored in psychology during her undergraduate career where she learned more about people and what makes them tick. Most importantly, she wanted to understand how she could help others in any way possible. “My love of people I think is what drew me into account management,” Taylor said. “You’re the go-to person for that client. Anything they need they come to you, and I enjoy getting to form a relationship with them.”
When Taylor came across the job posting for an account manager, applying was a no-brainer. “I used to drive an hour to and from work every day, and it ate up a lot of my free time,” she said. “I knew I wanted something remote, and once I saw Market My Market’s posting, I knew it was the company for me.”
More importantly, what drew Taylor to working at Market My Market was her interviews with Joanna Brooks, Chase Williams, and Ryan Klein. “After I chatted with Joanna, then had another conversation with Chase and Ryan, the role and company seemed even more interesting to me. That was more than a year ago, and I can’t wait to keep growing and learning here.”
Since joining the team in 2020, Taylor has accumulated even more knowledge about account management. “I’ve gotten a lot better at managing all of my clients, and personal time management. With so many clients, you can’t put off tasks.” But she’s also learned more about the technical aspects of digital marketing—like search engine optimization (SEO)—which empower her to provide better service to her clients.
One important component that stands out to Taylor is the transparency Market My Market provides to all our clients. “At my old job, we were not transparent. If something was wrong with a client account, we would discuss and fix it internally and never tell the client,” Taylor said.
At Market My Market, we value transparency. In fact, it’s one of our core values. “If there’s an issue, we want to bring it to the client’s attention rather than them bringing it up to us. I value that we take that extra step because we care about our clients, and we genuinely want their business to succeed.”
